Brushes: 36 Version: Photoshop 7+, Photoshop Elements 2+, GIMP 2.2.6+
A set of Photoshop brushes composed of various foliage, in the form of sketches. These are drawn by hand and are all high resolution, with the average size being about 2000 pixels.
Includes: several branches, dandelions, ferns, flowers (on stems), grass, leaves, leafy accents, plants, seeds, etc.
If you're interested in the images used to make the brushes themselves, I have an image pack for this set available for download on my website here: [link]
Oh joy! I love the handmade look a lot; as it's an organic theme, I would've hated to see these done in a clean vector style otherwise (NOT a personal attack on your other work!!) These would match up great with a graphic design with a grungy font, or something with a gentler theme like bordering a photograph of a baby or toddler to give as a gift to someone... just to name a few.
As a curio, you could put your original sketches into scraps and keep tham as a separate kind of resource...

I agree that the styles seem to go very well together. I've thought about uploading the sketches and whatnot for these kinds of brushes on their own, as well as the image packs for my other brush sets... but it's just much easier to put the link to my website in there, and people can go download them from there if they're interested. I spend FAR too much time on my brushes as it is!
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
