A new way of submitting tutorials for me, but easier to view, I think. I also am going to be putting them all up on my blog now! Feel free to check it out here. I have an RSS feed available, too, for anyone that may want to receive updates from me that way.

This tutorial will explain how to resize a brush or image/shape so that it is at least twice its original size, without losing any of the quality! Photoshop CS2 and above only, as it makes use of "Smart Sharpen."

The sample image that I use, if you'd like to download it and use it to follow around, is located here.

I was like smart sharpen? I only have CS, and I'm not sure it would be worth upgrading for this.

Yeah, it all depends on what you do with it, really. I only found the tool a month or so ago, and I've been using it nonstop for all kinds of things since. It really IS a great tool, but only if you need it. I make a lot of brushes, though, so it was great for me. :)

Thank you! This will be very useful, even though I do not have CS2 as of yet.

I can see myself using it because I find all sorts of stuff on the web that would be nice blown up. :)

You make great brushes. :D

So true. I used this technique so often because of that very reason... I just decided I should put up a tutorial on it, since it was so durn useful. ;)

That's pretty good and very useful! :) There is also a program (that costs money) that can do that stuff.
